       Corruption poses a significant threat to societal progress, undermining democratic institutions, exacerbating inequality, and stifling economic development, which ultimately jeopardizes the future stability and prosperity of nations. Corruption erodes the foundation of trust that is essential for effective governance and social cohesion. When public officials prioritize personal gain over the common good, it leads to a lack of accountability and transparency. This not only diminishes citizens' trust in their institutions but also deters civic engagement, as people become disillusioned with the political process.
